Tibetan Chi Gong
Ron Bracale attended a Tibetan Chi Gong class at the Omega Institute
located near Rienbeck New York, about 90 miles north of New York City.
Omega institute is a beautiful campus on rolling green hills, with a
very peaceful energy. The food was fantastic and the staff were very
friendly. Here is an image of the meditation sanctuary on a hilltop.

The class was taught by Master Zi Sheng Wang (Chiyan Rangdro), a chinese man who
was accepted as a direct disciple of Khenpo Munsel Rinpoche, who is the master
of direct lineage from Padmasambhava, the Master who brought Buddhism to Tibet
in the Eighth century. This is the Nyingma lineage that believes that the
Rainbow Body of pure living light is attainable in one lifetime, freeing the
masters who attain it from the wheel of rebirth. Master Wang's teacher told him
to go into the farthest lands and release thepreliminary practices that have been
secret for over a thousand years, to release the suffering of the materialistic
society and express the love, compassion and healing of the buddha.
Master Wang did a healing energy session, using non-invasive chi acupucture to
open the meridians and free the participants from energetic blockages. We were trained
to use the Chi Gong practive of 'Three Palms Together'. We then sat in silence and and
many participants had very emotional experiences. I experienced a very high meditative
state and felt a great deal blissful energy. Many participants uncovered a karmic
connection to the Buddhist tradition and its precepts of helping all people live
happier and healthier lives.
We continued our Chi Gong training by learning the 'Five Element Stake',
which uses the five elemental energies of traditional chinese medicine (wood, fire,
earth, metal, and water), as well as the cardinal directions, to replace unhealthy
chi, with fresh healing universal chi, balancing and streangthening the body.
We then learned the 'One Finger Zen' dynamic chi gong practice, to gather
universal energy and displace negative chi, clearing blocjkages and bring
the bodies energy into balance. This practice increases strength, flexability,
and stamina. Long term practice is said to increase paranormal abilities and
create a foundation to learn the secret practices of Vajrayana. This is a
practice from the Shaolin Temple, that was originally taught by Dao Mo.
Finally we participated in an empowerment ceremony and learned the secret six
syllable mantra. This set of sound vibrations has extreme healing qualities. This
practice is said to overcome natural disasters and protect the users from harm.
The entire weekend was a joy and many people that I had a chance to talk to
were very advanced in leading thier lives according to spiritual practices. We
were encouraged to teach the 'Three Palms Together' chi gong practice to all
who would like to learn this practice.
